Join us for extended tasting room hours while enjoying live music by Ethan and Mike of the Blue Light Bandits as an acoustic duo. Mike and Ethan bring a unique combination of guitar, percussion and using a cello that will blow you away.

Sip and savor the night while enjoying wine tastings, wine by the glass, beer and sangria, as well as light bites from our kitchens.

No cost for entry to the live music or reservation needed, just come by and enjoy!

Friends of Ballard Park will present the 13th Annual Illuminated Garden on Thursday, February 22nd, Friday, February 23rd and Saturday, February 24th, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in Ballard Park.  The free event features thousands of lights displayed on the trees and unique features of Ballard Park’s three acre quarry meadow.

In addition to lights set up by professional tree climbers, there will be exhibits by students enrolled at All Saints Academy, Rogers High School, St. Michael’s Country Day School, the Newport COZ, Middletown COZ and Lawn Avenue Elementary School.

The 13th Annual Illuminated Garden is free and open to the public.  The event is sponsored by Bartlett Tree Experts, the City of Newport, Kiki Finn, National Grid, the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts and the Rhode Island State Senate and co-sponsored by A1 Roofing & Construction, CAT Entertainment, Discover Newport, the Fitzpatrick Team, McGrath Clambakes, Inc., Newport Insurance Agency, TJ Brown Landscape and Whitehouse for Senate.

Ballard Park is located at the intersection of Hazard & Wickham Roads in Newport, RI.    The event may be accessed through the Hazard Road entrance with parking available in the Rogers High School lot at 15 Wickham Road.  Event goers are advised to bring a flashlight to guide them down Hazard Road and wear appropriate shoes or boots as the trail may be dark, muddy and uneven in places.

Newport Out is hosting a gathering the LGBTQ community and friends on Friday, February 23 to celebrate Newport’s opening night of the Oscar-nominated film Call Me By Your Name. A cocktail reception an the Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center lobby will start at 6:30 followed by the 7:30 showing of the film. Newport Out will host a raffle of local prizes to restaurants and shops with proceeds to benefit the Born This Way Promfor LGBTQ youth and allies.
